Modern hypnotherapy
Modern hypnotherapy is a form of short-term psychotherapy that uses trance. Trance is a natural state of deep relaxation in which your attention is focused inward, allowing you to connect with deeper layers of the Self. In this state, subconscious processes—such as past experiences, knowledge, and beliefs you're no longer aware of—become accessible again.
Trance is something we all experience, often without thinking about it. Daydreaming, meditation, or becoming absorbed in a book or movie are examples. In these moments, your focus is so intense that the outside world fades into the background.
Modern hypnotherapy differs from classical or stage hypnosis, where you often lose control and have little or no memory of the experience. Stage hypnosis is not a form of therapy.
In a modern hypnotherapy session, you remain awake and focus. You experience what’s happening within you, maintain full control, and remember everything.
